Sir Rennifer of Avancourt Sir Rennifer, a fun loving friendly Pooka along with his attending Squire Morgan travel as ambassadors of the Warren of Avancourt to Faires and events all over the nation. With merriment and a little mischief, Sir Rennifer's mission is to bring a bit of delight, fantasy and mirth to children of all ages who meet him in his travels to faires and other events. Sir Rennifer is the creation of a retired teacher who is a writer of young adult stories and novels. While living in California he came in contact with Science Fiction conventions. He used the collective imaginations of the attendees and their costumes to help him realize his character and bring him to life. Now this life becomes real to the eyes of young children and sparks the imagination of the older. In real life, I am a single mom of a young pirate lad, now developing his own performance. We have a small farm with horses and also raise Emu. I enjoy dabbling in the visual arts of all mediums, always have a song stuck in my head and have to sing, and like to paint my toes in summer. I am also a cancer warrior, 4 1/2 yrs now, the Cpt helped me on the adventure through cancerland by giving me a chance to be someone else for a while and make people smile. I went to my last treatments of chemo and radiation in full garb (yes, sword and pistol, too), the reaction was priceless. They brought kids up to the infusion center for pics with Johnny Depp. James the Obscure Master James is an itinerant teller of traditional tales. Ancient tales from the Norse and from the Celts (and from whatever else resonates) are heard in the land. Of hero's and of gods as well as strong minded women, of wisdom, deception, and might. The old tales show us the heart and mind of the ancient peoples from which they sprang. The tales of James the Obscure are heard around campfires, in the taverns and at wedding feasts.
